e.l.f. Disney's Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book Quick Review

e.l.f. cosmetics just released this beauty book at Walgreens and it retails for $10.00. I think the artwork and packaging is what got me really interested.

This beauty book includes 9 eyeshadows, 2 brushes, 2 bronzers, and one lip gloss. I am usually a neutral color palette lover, but I decided to pick this up just to have fun with.

If you flip the cover, there is an instructional tutorial above.

Close up look.

Swatches with primer top two rows (left to right): sand dollar, coral reef, tropical wave; 2nd row: north star, for shore, siren song.

Swatches with primer bottom row (left to right): seaweed, seashell, brilliant sea

Bronzer Swatches (Left to right): conch shell and tan lines

Quick Thoughts: Sorry I am new to this swatching game, not very good at it yet. Overall, this beauty book is OK. I expected it to be better because I LOVED the 2013 Halloween Disney Villain beauty books. When I swatched everyhing without primer, the eyeshadows were not very vibrant. I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin and the swatches turned out better. Again, I haven't tried these on my eyes yet, so this review is half finished. Of course, eyeshadows perform differently once they are on the actual eyelid. All of these swatches were on my hand. The lip gloss seems like a nice natural gloss to put over a pink lipstick. The bronzers seem like OK quality as well. The brushes-don't even bother using the small blush brush. Its too scratchy and tiny. The eyeshadow brush is something I would probably use, although not the greatest quality as well.
